Removal companies who can clear a trashed house??

Hi

As soon as my Decree Absolute is issued then the court order issued by the judge earlier this year will bite. The order gives me control of the sale of the matrimonial home. Jointly owned with mortgage.

Background - I had to leave my DH 2 years ago due to his psychotic and paranoid cocaine behaviour.

He won't allow me access to the house (double locks doors from inside/has put cable ties on other doors to prevent access).

On the rare occasion that I have been 'allowed' into my house in his presence and under strict time constraints, he has completely trashed it. Everything is everywhere. Paperwork scattered all over the floor. Toilets blocked. It is filthy. I could cry!!

Anyway, I'm guessing that I will need to get the court order enforced by bailiffs down the line (as he won't move out voluntarily nor allow tidy or allow the house to be marketed).

Can anyone recommend a removals firm that specialises in helping to pack up a trashed house? I'm in London.

TIA.

I used these guys and they were excellent! I'm in West London.

I also recommend getting a hippobag- I have not yet done this but am about to this week. This is for those 'afterthoughts' that get left behind... old duvets, bedding, unwearable items, garden shed clear-out (in my own case).

I've also left loads of things out front and they've all been collected by some random person or another. One man's junk is another man's treasure and all of that.

Good luck! I have a lot of sympathy for your plight.

Thank-you. That is really helpful.

What a horrific situation for you. These people do house clearance and rubbish removal and have great reviews.

Just Clear

Thanks - that's helpful too.

Yes, it's been a nightmare few years!

What about firms you specialise in securing homes? I'm sure my STBXH will try to break in and re-enter the house (obvs I'll need to check I can legally prevent him from re-entering)

No idea about firms to secure a property, but bumping for you, OP.

Most letting & estate agents will know of a good local property clearance firm, they use them if people move out of rental properties and leave an awful mess behind.
