My husband and I are getting a divorce. He’s cheated throughout the marriage and has become very cruel towards me. He’s moving abroad in 3 months and wants to sell the house. I don’t want to sell the house as we’ve only been here 2 years so little equity and also it’s going to cause me a lot of stress as he wants it sold before he goes. He’s going to stop paying mortgage from next month but he knows that I cannot afford the whole mortgage on my salary. He earns 3 times my salary. Can he just stop paying mortgage? Can he force me to sell in 3 months? Do I have any protections while pregnant? Has anyone applied for a litigation loan, if so, how easy is it for loan to be accepted? I’m feeling very nervous about the future. I would have hoped that he would continue paying at least until the child is born but he says I’m on my own and he owes me nothing.
