Deleting historical pictures

I want to remove historical pics of an ex from google pics. Give them a chance to download before erasure?

I’m wondering about this too. Don’t really want to open up an avenue of communication but I do want the pics off my phone and saved elsewhere, but if I delete shared albums presumably he can’t see the pics i put in there any more? I also don’t want him to delete them before I get a chance to save them! It’s a dilemma isn’t it.
