Scared of guiding my children and myself thru separation

Hello.
I'm married to a workaholic who doesn't offer me emotional support and gaslights me.
I don't know how to live with him and to guide my children when I tell him i want/need to separate.
Children are 8 and 14.

Anyone been thru this who can help me?
Feel so low. Daughter has broken ankle.

Hi OP, don't want to read and run. I'm sure there'll be wiser and more experienced posters along soon with valuable insights. I haven't been in the position you're in but when my DH told me he wanted to leave me the first thing I did was get some books on separation and divorce. Might be a good place to start thinking about the steps you would take and how you want to approach it. There're a couple by Paula Hall who works for the charity Relate which have quite a broad range of practical advice, one is called 'A Good Divorce' and the other is something like 'Managing Divorce and Separation when you have children'.
