What is a schedule of payments and can anyone give me an idea of what theirs looked like?

Hello, my solicitor keeps going on about a schedule of payments. I am the one who has to pay as he refused to work (yep one of the many reasons we are getting divorced along with DA). I have 2 DC's full time.
So negotiation about to start at the moment but liable to have to pay substantial amount as I understand starting point is 50/50 even though children live with me. He pays £40 a week maintenance.
Can anyone help me with what theirs looked like? Paying or receiving? Would be really helpful.

Pay the entire sum owed within 6 weeks of the financial order being granted.

I had to pay, and therefore had 6 weeks to get all the money together.

Ex has to pay child maintenance monthly. Spousal maintenance is a nominal amount annually.
