Just trying to see if I am in the right path here. EXH gets £2300 net wages each month, I get £1300 UC. 2 kids living in rented housing association until one of us can move out.
How would you split and child related costs
Thanks

Is the separation amicable? If so then retaining whatever arrangement you had previously would be beneficial for stability and the children. Or contributing in proportion to your incomes 60/40ish. If not then I presume he’ll be arguing that as you’re no longer a couple you don’t get to benefit from his earnings any more and expecting it to be 50/50.

Well I thought it was but the more I look into everything I realise he has been shafting us for years. Earns more than I though he was blah blah. I want to do 60/40 on bills but unsure how much he should be paying for the kids. CM calc comes up with £550 a month but inside of its different we are under the same roof. Otherwise I will continue paying everything for the kids and his £ goes on goodness what
