I’ve finally done it and called DV to get an injunction

I’ve got to log a report with 101 then in 2 weeks he will be out of the house until the divorce is done.

The relief is stronger than the guilt. But I can hear him downstairs with the kids and it sounds idyllic. The problem is it's not usually like that. Typical it would be like that on this day of all days!

But long term, this is sadly the right thing to do. I have to think of our futures. The fallout will be hard though, because although they report being afraid of him and not wanting to live with him, right now, it sounds like the perfect family. That makes my heart ache.

Keep going you can do this. Think of how much better your lives will be then remember the worst of the worst times with him. That will keep you moving forwards in the safest direction. Use all the support available.

The evidence is mostly voice recordings so you hear it from the horses mouth, and therapist notes from a professional and independent view.

Definitely agree with thinking of the worst parts. When I was listening to how vile he is in the voice recordings, I have to say it really strengthened me. I needed that because he was being unsurprisingly nice for the day which weakens me every time.
