Mine took about 4 weeks...

Itsybitsydooda · 09/12/2021 21:42

Thanks Sweetie. Maybe it can be a belated birthday gift instead. Jerk's suddenly decided to start showing an interest in our consent order and is now refusing to pay child maintenance unless I pay half the mortgage (all in his name). He knows damn well Im skint and can't really afford xmas for our kids

Sadly they get so nasty during divorce , sorry he is being like that ..

Notmyyearthisyear · 09/12/2021 22:00

10 days here and still waiting. But apparently you can chase after 2 weeks

Itsybitsydooda · 09/12/2021 23:13

He's started being really mean today and now his girlfriend has messaged me saying we've lost sight of putting the kids first. I mean I parent them alone for 12 days and then he has fun time with them for 2 days and so on! Im fighting for the cms that goes towards them, their clubs, their fun etc. Knew someone was pulling his strings as he's not been interested in discussing anything till yesterday.

Put in for mine a year ago and we had no issues between us, it only took a matter of months for all the different stages to complete.

Feels weird being divorced, we were married but separated for 14 years.

Itsybitsydooda · 09/12/2021 23:54

@TyphooMary thanks, thats what I was hoping for. If we can finalise a consent order then we should be able to get it done easily enough. He was on board yesterday and then today has changed his tune, hence me filing so I can control the process a bit better. Fingers crossed I can be free by Easter.

I did recently, Sweetie. Stbx received papers less than 2 weeks from me applying, Nisi 3 weeks later. The consent order, well there's another story. Could drag on.

Notmyyearthisyear · 14/12/2021 21:33

Just a little update from me, it took exactly 2 weeks from the day I applied for the court to approve and issue the notification letter to husband.

Itsybitsydooda · 14/12/2021 22:41

Ohh thankyou for the info. I applied on the 9th dec so hopefully 2 weeks will make a nice xmas present, 3 weeks a birthday gift for him or 4 weeks a happy new year Grin

He's just starting to get awkward now over splitting our house and his gf told me we weren't prioritising the kids so she got a few home truths. He's now seeking legal advise as he doesn't think its fair he has to pay half the mortgage for the house thats solely in his name as well as child maintenance (which we agreed a figure thats lower than the cms calculator anyway)!

I've just checked back on my emails and can see that for me it took a week for my Ex to receive notification.
Hope the Christmas present comes through in time for yours. He sounds delightful Grin

comfortablyfrumpy · 15/12/2021 10:55

Just a thought: if you're living in the house that's in his name, have you taken any legal advice on protecting your situation there?

Itsybitsydooda · 15/12/2021 11:08

I registered my marital rights with the land registry so I have every right to be there until we are divorced. It's going on the market in the new year anyway.
Fingers crossed he gets the info soon. I haven't bothered to tell him I've filed Grin

Aw, I wonder if you can get it gift wrapped for him? Grin

Tunnocksmallow · 15/12/2021 16:39

I applied at the start of October. I can apply for my absolute tomorrow 🤩
It’s all pretty fast really.

Itsybitsydooda · 21/12/2021 16:48

Update from me. Applied on the 9th Dec and today (21st Dec) the application was approved and forms posted out to stbxh.
