Hi all has anyone recently gone through a FDR hearing in court as part of their divorce ? I honestly didn't think it would get this far but it's happening on Thursday my solicitor has briefed me and reassured me but I still feel so nervous and probably won't sleep until it's done

Well, I've had my FDR. I got what I wanted, and what I would have settled for in mediation. STBEX decided to drag it out though and has landed himself with a hefty legal bill in the process, and still at the same point he would have been over 2 years ago if he had been reasonable.
At least it is over. I was absolutely prepared to go to final hearing, but can now breathe a sigh of relief. I suspect he'll carry on being an arse, but nothing changes there Grin.

Woo hoo!!!

I always say to everyone whose ex is being an arse - go to court, the judge will be fair.

Well done I'm really pleased for you

That's great news. I've got my FDR in the new year. I am so worried about it, but again I hope the Judge puts the children first as sees what is important for them.

I think the Judge was fair, they explained their reasoning. There was one major sticking point and the Judge was clear on that one (in my/kids favour). Of course we'll never know what a Jduge at final hearing would have said, but I'd be really surprised if they said any different (and he'd have had an even legal bill).

I think he just needed someone to tell him that what I'd proposed was actually the right thing.

Congratulations on finishing this all! Can I ask how much it cost you please?

Good luck for yours @Strongerthanyouthink . The Judge was very clear that children's needs have to be the priority. Keeping it all crossed for you x
