My husband of 15 years and dad of our 4 children having an affair with OW, wants a divorce and to sell our family home.,our youngest is still a baby, so I only work very part time. Looking for a good lawyer, as my soon ex is doing negotiating for living, and I’m not...also I have no family around.

A divorce is not easy, but it is always the best when things do not go well, it is not an end but a new beginning, here is an article that may help you.

Just in case you're not Spanish

Do you or any of your friends/school mum's know someone who could recommend a good family law solicitor?
Study any reviews you might find online.

I'm sorry - this is a tough time for you.Flowers

@marivilte44 - why on earth would you recommend a Spanish language website dealing with the law in the US to someone asking for solicitor recommendations near Colchester in the UK? ConfusedHmm
Can’t offer a recommendation I’m afraid OP, but Flowers to you in what sounds a difficult situation...

Divorce is a bit of a marathon process, full of emotional (and financial) ups and downs.
It's better to take charge and be the one doing the divorce.
You can read about the process here: www.gov.uk/divorce

If no-one recommends, you could try here:

Btw if he's leaving you for another woman and you have 4 children he can't just "sell the house". It's your and your children's home and he'll have to pay maintenance. Do not leave your home. Lawyer up.

These are Divorce lawyers, accredited specialists only is what you want, according to the Law Society. There are also other family law solicitors in Colchester but they're not coming up as accredited specialists.

He can’t just sell the family home, but a judge could say that it had to be sold particularly if it’s not affordable for the person staying to pay for it

It’s not an automatic right to remain their although housing needs of children will take priority in any settlement reached

Don’t move out though and don’t agree to anything without legal advice

Look on resolution website for solicitors and meet a few so you get a feeling about what they will be like
