Need some advice or guidance who to contact

Hi there,

My OH hopefully soon to be ex wife has filed for their divorce 4 months ago. Apparently there is a delay in them getting divorced due to a financial settlement from her previous divorce.
Firstly, is this actually a thing because surely they would have not been able to get married if issues with her previous divorce?
Has anyone ever heard of this or experienced this?

They could have divorced but not agreed finances

@millymollymoomoo thank you for your reply. Ok, I'm just bewildered as can't see how it should affect her 2nd divorce as it's an amicable break up this time round. Why should he have to wait whilst her previous one is sorted

Well it’s complicated I guess
Because if there is no final consent order on the first then assets of the second could potentially come into play ( unlikely but possible)
