How to start the 50/50 schedule with kids

I am getting the keys to the new place on Monday 02.08.21and probably will have stuff ready to move on the Tuesday.
Then on the 9th I am taking the kids for a break for 8 days.
I am desperate to move out but don't know if the kids will feel I have abandoned them if I stay the first night/s in the new place without them.
How would you manage that first week?
Thank

It depends on how old your kids are, how quickly you can get their room(s) ready etc? My two are young (3 and 7) and we will be doing two-two-three each week to start.
Could you have the first two nights alone, have them 4th 5th or 5th 6th then a break until your holiday?

Thank you. They are 11 and 4.
I was weary of having the first nights on my own as I don't want them to feel that "I have left", but must admit it would be the easier way

Ah I see @Kione - I haven’t got to your stage yet so I don’t know what’s best for the first night. Have you spent time / nights away from them yet? Wishing you all the best.

Yeah, I actually went into 2 weeks of self isolation without them. And the little one didn't even question it, actually...

I moved out and had a couple of nights. I told the kids that I was getting their rooms ready for them. They then stayed a couple of nights later and absolutely loved it and Were so excited

Thank you @RosesandPumpkins, sounds like this is going to be the easiest thing to do
