So, I applied for my Nisi and ticked the box for the costs to be paid by exh. I don’t think I necessarily meant to do it but I did.
Ex is now planning on going to the court to argue against a costs order (and I suspect to try to stop the Nisi)
I’m divorcing on unreasonable behaviour, but I’m now worried that I’m going to cause delays and large costs to myself.
For clarity ex makes himself appear penniless, but he’s given his business away so he appears to be living on very little, something we will try to reverse. I think I probably hoped that it might stop him just wasting money on endless trips to court.
However, I’m not clear on what he would be asked to pay for, I assumed it was court fees etc for filing of endless forms (such as Form A) but now I see it may actually mean all my costs, which he’s obviously not going to do.
So now I think I’ve done it wrong.
