Has anyone registered a spousal maintenance order at the magistrate's court?

Just that. Exh (divorced nearly 5 years) has mucked around with paying, and has now decided not to pay.

I know I can go to the family court for enforcement, but also I could register the order with the magistrates court and let them enforce it.

Would like to hear experiences if both if possible. How long should I let it go unpaid before taking action?

How long was the spousal payable for? Has he been paying it for 5 years already?

No, it was triggered by an event, so it's been in payment 14 months. Another 7 years to go before it ends. Very long marriage and massive disparity in income.

A friend had something similar imposed on him. Think it went by a family court after one missed payment and cost £50. Both represented themselves.
