Kept married surname

Hi
So I got divorced about 8 years ago, when I filed my divorce paperwork they took my marriage certificate and kept it. I kept my married surname as it was my kids name and didn't want hassle of changing it back to maiden name etc Anyway I've just had to produce GCSE certs for a new job and they've queried that my surname is different. Now problem is I don't have a marriage cert so I have no way of proving my name change! Anyone got any suggestions please?

You can get a copy of your marriage certificate from the local authority you got married at or here - www.gov.uk/order-copy-birth-death-marriage-certificate

It is a public record like a birth, death and your decree absolute.
