If so, where abouts are you and when did you apply and when was it/them approved?

Thank you in advance.

How recent? My consent order came thru 9 April. Applied 28ajan. In Bedfordshire

Restlessinthenorth · 03/06/2020 22:28

Decree absolute was issued same day as applied for it. It appears to be a virtual exercise now

LittleHelpFromMySplitEnds · 04/06/2020 21:14

@Otter71 Thanks. This gives a bit of a guideline.

@Restlessinthenorth Did you use a solicitor? Was the divorce done online? I had no idea they were done so fast. I thought it might take a few weeks, possibly longer.

Thank you both for your replies. It's a difficult time waiting and this gives me a bit of understanding of when I can expect to be free (finally).

@LittleHelpFromMySplitEnds it was done online with no solicitor. Literally the day I clicked the link to apply for the absolute, it came through a few hours later. They must be doing them virtually at the moment. Consent order still on going.

Can I ask how you submitted the decree absoloute. clicked on he link

www.gov.uk/government/publications/form-d36-notice-of-application-for-decree-nisi-to-be-made-absolute-or-conditional-order-to-be-made-final

When you click on it it takes you to the pdf form you have to complete but then how do you submit it?

Restlessinthenorth · 01/07/2020 10:11

@techcorp we got an email saying "6 weeks have passed, you can now apply for your absolute". There was a button to press, and that was it! Got the docs back the same day. There was no form to fill in.

My divorce was done online. They use the courts with the shortest queue and mine was granted with the South West Divorce Unit in Hampshire. I'm in the Midlands. I had the same message as Restless and absolute was granted soon after. This was May 7th.

NW England. Took 6 weeks to get CO and DA using solicitors (after 2+ years of battling a moron). Just in case that helps someone.

Consent order was sent in April, was approved in June and took 2 weeks to be given back by the courts.

Blushingm · 11/07/2020 21:41

I got my consent order and then got my absolute at the beginning of June
