Has anyone been awarded costs in their settlement?

Just wondering if anyone has applied for costs and had their ex-partner cover their legal bill? When an ex is blatantly awkward causing costs to ramp up has anyone's solicitor suggested applying for costs and was it successful?
Wondered if it is quietly agreed between solicitors not to go for costs?

Hi, I have a similar situation. Ex has delayed process time and time again and often took a 'final warning' before answering or providing important information.
My solicitor has put forward in consent order that costs can be revisited at later hearing (will be our FDR). The judge agreed to this request.
I guess that's as good as it gets for now.. Its not agreed, but will be addressed at FDR.
Maybe this is something you can look at?

In mine it was only really brought up by me, not suggested by the solicitor. Maybe I'm being too cynical but it just seemed to me they were happy for the costs to mount up steadily on both sides and said "it was the norm for both parties to pay their own costs." If they started threatening the ex with ALL costs he would perhaps have stopped messing about and brought some finality to the job.
