Anyone else had a cohabitation separation in Scotland?

Am currently going through this due to STBX's infidelity & mental health issues. I told him in October/November last year that I wanted to end the relationship & he has delayed & stonewalled since then.

He believes he is entitled to 130 of 150K equity in the house Confused

He does not seem to understandchooses not to the concept of economic advantage & disadvantage (I am part-time due to DC's health issues & earn 1/3 of his salary.

Following on from seeing our individual solicitors, their advice seemed very different so we had solicitor led mediation where we just went round in circles.

Neither of us wants to go to court (or can afford it) but he won't compromise & effectively been told to sort it out amongst ourselves or see each other in court.

Anyone else been through similar?

I’m in Scotland too and going through similar issues, but what’s a cohabitation separation?

It's splitting up when you are living together rather than married; the laws are different from divorce.
