Moving to a different city after divorce

Hi, I am about to divorce.
I am staying here with my child and my ex-to-be living in a different house in the same city. He has all his family and relatives here but I have non(immigrant). However, if I have to move far from due to work placement or remarry, whatever, can I move even if my ex doesn’t agree? like over 3 hours by train and within the UK?
What about abroad?

I don't know legally, but unless your ex is an awful parent, I think anything you can do to stay close so the kids can see both of you often is a wonderful thing to do for them. Good luck!
