Separating from DH- template for agreement on kids and finances?

DH and I are splitting up after a fairly long marriage, with two teenage kids and a mortgage. We are amicable and both have had brief legal advice. We will get divorced after the two year period but does anyone have a template for a document we could use now to outline everything we have agreed? We don't want to pay for a separation agreement as they are not legally binding anyway, but just want a document that we can both have checked by a solicitor to see if we are on the right track for when we get divorced.

No template, we just did our own. Wrote down all the outgoings separated into fixed, variable and luxuries, then wrote down incomes. We agreed maintenance based on current circumstances for the first year to be reviewed annually or if/when my circumstances (as the significantly lower earner) changes.

My children are adults but we've agreed dog sharing.

The best thing is to keep communicating and to put the kids first. We've agreed for me to keep the house for instance but he gets enough other assets for a deposit.
