Ex husband purchased a car using my address

So I’ve found out my ex husband who says he no longer lives at this address so no longer needs to pay any mortgage or bills has purchased a 42k car on finance using my address. He is jointly in the mortgage but the house is going up for sale and we are getting divorced. Can he legally finance a car using this address when he no longer lives here? I am worried in case he defaults payments etc as I want to sell up and obtain a mortgage on another property

I would say if he still legally coowns the house he probably can.

He can as his on the mortgage but inform your lawyers and if you want inform the lease company forwarding his place of residence at least you would have done your bit.

Defaults / credit issues no longer follow the address. Your issue is if you are still linked financially. Ie joint account/mortgage/loan etc.
