Do I need a conveyance solicitor when I receive my share of the settlement ?

When I get my settlement agreed by the court, will I need my own conveyance solicitor to hand it over to me ?

Can’t I just sign something at my ex’s conveyancing solicitors with witnesses ?

I’m going to buy a house in Scotland, so I’ll find a conveyance solicitor in Scotland as laws in Scotland are different.

My divorce solicitor seems to think I need a conveyance solicitor.

Has anyone gone through this please ?
