So I would love to pay someone to figure out my financial situ but there must be a set of guidelines somewhere to help us all. I've been married 16 years together 19+. I stayed at home for ten of those years looking after our two children whilst husband travelled the world working his way up his career ladder. He went from £17k a year to £120k a year. He covers all bills and my full time wage £16.5k covers children's hobbies and bits. Any ideas guys?

You haven't said what assets you have

The only set formula is for child maintenance.
Everything else is a trade off between different objectives -- as set out in past Acts and past precedents.

To OP

Every divorce is different. Even experienced legal would not be able to comment based on the information given so far. Many factors will be taken into account such as;

Available assets
Age of children
Future earning potential of both partners
Did one give up a careers to be the carer/home maker

The list could go on and on.
