Insolvency and unpaid maintenance

Advice needed...complicated.

Divorced 2018 and maintenance unpaid since then.
Have applied to court for a notice of application for enforcement - asking for a charge to be put in his side of equity in family home (we have to sell in 2020)
Does anyone know how long it takes for cases to be heard by a judge?
Just received an email from an insolvency firm wanting to put a charge on his side of the property for non-payment.
Should I try to communicate with the insolvency firm and ask them to wait until the court case so my charge is given first priority? Or should I not respond and hope that the court case is soon?
Help!

I would be surprised if the insolvency place were interested in your case. At the end of the day they want their money too.
If he is truly insolvent then normally they may work out his total assets, the total claims and give everyone the same percentage...

Certain debts are given priority in insolvency. In this case you need to see a solicitor to sort out the implications of his debts for you.
