Depressed partner making me and my baby homeless

My partner has been depressed for about 6 months now, refuses to go to the GP.

He has told me he thinks of killing himself and how he could do it often.
He is going missing on a regular basis for days at a time and I contacted to the police to report him missing on the last occasion.

His mental state, reluctance to return home and his lack of consistant parenting has left me no option but to say he is no longer allowed our 1 year old unsupervised, although I hoped that would be the wake up call to get him to see the gp it seems not the case as he has returned home tonight and has told me that if I don't move out (with our baby) he will no longer pay our mortgage.

I'm back to work now but only returned part time, around my childcare, my baby has only just gone one a few days ago, theres no way I can afford to rent somewhere and provide for us on my part time wage.

I'm such a mess, any advice greatly appreciated!

So sorry you are going through this. I have no advice but you may get more response from posting in relationships.

I think you need to get organized, and quickly.

Firstly, is the mortgage in both your names? Are you married?

You can contact the citizens advice bureau for very good advice.

You'll be entitled to benefits, but it will take a while to get started. Can you stay with a relative or friend while you apply and save for a deposit?
