Solicitor ignoring - can I get deposit back?

I have seen my solicitor twice to start divorce proceedings. The first meeting I paid for up front and then they required a £500 deposit to start work. I saw the solicitor once more after this.

The last correspondence was October 29th where she said she would get a draft letter to me by the end of that week. (about 3 days)

Since then, my h dropped out of mediation so no progress could be made there and I informed her of this and something else via email.
I've also called reception to ask her if she could leave me a message or contact me.

I feel as if I can't move forward at the moment without support from a good solicitor so wondering if I can get the rest of the deposit back I paid?

I have emailed reception this morning about it but wondered what I should do in these circs.
