Can anyone tell me how long from the application for decree nisi to the date?

Sent nov, nisi April, absolute June x

Stinkbomb · 22/08/2018 21:44

There's apparently a massive backlog at the moment - my application for the absolute went in in June but still don't have it.

My Nisi came back relatively quickly but that was 18 months ago.

ThroughHell · 22/08/2018 23:11

Oh that’s depressing! 5 months for the nisi @BumpInTheOven
Thank you both for responding xx

I put the delay due to Xmas and new year, I would have imagined it being a bit quicker otherwise x

ThroughHell · 23/08/2018 11:26

Hope so @BumpInTheOven the waiting is awful

I rang them yesterday and they said they had sent it to the judge c. 3 weeks after they received it and that the time for it to be with the judge was three months! Application for nisi that is

Apparently family courts are really back logged and prioritising cases.
