Respondent ignored court order to pay my £410 costs! How do I enforce the order and get my money back?

I’m posting this in desperation. Single mum of three. Can anybody help abd advise how to collect my costs from my ex husband, respondent. Divorce still not completed.

The judge ordered he was to pay £410 in costs about a year and a half ago. The respondent has continuously ignored this order and I need to claim my money back.

We have been to mediation and the mediator (a barrister) advised him he has to pay the costs. He has bought a 4 bed house with his partner, been abroad on holiday twice, just returned from a rugby weekend away costing £320 and booked a holiday to Croatia this summer.

I am on income support. Have 3 children and need that money paid in full. Not in instalments. He has offered to pay £34 a month and claimed he would start paying it in March. The money never arrived and that arrangement is not satisfactory.

How do I enforce this order and get my costs back in full as ordered by the judge?

Thankyou for your time:

I would suggest sending the bailiffs is the most straightforward. You will be fees exempt, the form N232 is linked on that page.

Good luck.
