What did you do with your wedding photos?

Hi all

I’m probably half way through my divorce and I’m not sure what to do with my wedding photos. My STBXH doesn’t want them, they were expensive so I’m not sure if binning them is the right thing to do.

I am struggling to remember the good times, there must have been some or I wouldn’t have married him. Is it worth keeping a couple to remind me that he wasn’t always a nasty piece of work.

What did you do?

I had a big collage which my dd wanted for her bedroom so that took care if that. Made me very uncomfortable at first but have stopped really noticing it now. The album is in dd's memory box in the loft. If it wasn't for dd the whole lot would have been binned regardless of the original cost. It's all tainted by xh's infidelity.

I cut the first lot up into little tiny strips similar to how a shredder would. I found it calming and relaxing. The second lot I kept a couple as we had kids and I reckoned children like to see photos of their parents' wedding, and that split was reasonable amicable.

Mine are in my DF's house. I asked him to keep them. I can't bear to have them in mine because it makes me too sad and I don't know what else to do with them. Hugs.

DH burned his wedding album from his first marriage. I was quite surprised, I thought he would have kept it for his boys. He said it was too upsetting to keep them because the vows had been broken by his ex and hadn't meant anything to her.

They went in the skip when I finally moved out of the last house we lived together in. ExH had moved out already.
