Hi,

At what point did you realise that your relationship just was not working and that you needed to separate/move on? I am not happy at home at all. We have not had a sex life for quite a few years (my fault as I just don't fancy him at all and he was always poor at it) and, tbh, I have nothing in common with DH. He is older than me by 10 yrs. I am becoming increasingly frustrated by him and don't know whether to call it a day.
We have 2 children and they are the only reason I have not done anything. I feel trapped tbh and don't know what to do but I am unhappy. Help.

I forgot to add that we get on ok. Like friends. No sex life/affection at all. But, I'm frustrated and unhappy. I'm 45 btw.

Also, I have dropped hints about being unhappy to him and that I am thinking of leaving but he doesn't take it seriously. I think he thinks I am just being hormonal or something.

I read a book called Too Good To Leave Too Bad To Stay and it really helped. I am in the middle of my divorce and although it is a terrible process I'm glad I'll soon be free and enjoying life anew!
Your other option is to keep the family together for the kids and quietly and carefully have an affair.

Another option would be to go for relationship counselling - but on your own first. That can help you work out what to do next. The short answer is the only person that can work out if your relationship isn't working is you.

That's just it though - it isn't working out. I'm bored and want out.
