What do you think of this idea?

It’s a follow on from a thread yesterday
Ex has his new place is being awkward with the pickup/ drop off thing
I have offered him the kids (8+10) every weekend 8pm Friday until Saturday evening/Sunday morning
(Ex has commitments Sunday as do we) And an evening of his choice midweek
He is now saying he wants to pick kids up from school on fridays which would be ok except I look after another 10 yr old then and take them all to youth club at 6pm-7.30
The club is either in my house or a house 10 doors up from me so they don’t need a lift
I would drop other boy home then drop my two at dads 8 pm

But apparently that’s not ‘fair’
I did point out that he’d get a lot less time if we went to court ( eow and one evening a week is standard- he doesn’t believe that!)

Am I being unfair ?

What do the kids want? At that age they should have a say.

They want to go to their club
He doesn’t want them to go - he’s not interested in what they want only what he wants

Stand your ground. My kids went to a number of clubs for years prior to me leaving their dad. He tried sabotaging most of them after the split. He'd refuse to take them if he had them even though one of the clubs was literally at the bottom of the garden (scouts hall on the other side of back lane).

I just kept his access to fit around their clubs (that they very much wanted to carry on with). Told him to take me to court if he didn't like it. He never did.
