Nothing happening bothers me!

Apparently the Nisi hearing was last Monday, but I've received no letter informing me of such. The solicitor had sent me a letter to inform me that it was happening and that they would send forms for the absolute when necessary.
In the meantime I'm in a house that I don't want to be in (PTSD) and have no idea what's happening to the finances. I know that stbxh can't be filling in or signing stuff because my solicitor would have sent it through. I was hoping to have been able to at least get the house on the market by now. I have AS so the not knowing is making me agitated. Stbxh knows this and it's probably his last bit of control!

Anyway, will the absolute be done before the finances are sorted out? Or will they hang on until they're sorted?
Thank you!

It's important that the finances are agreed with the court between the nisi and the absolute - see www.gov.uk/money-property-when-relationship-ends/apply-for-a-financial-order

Your solicitor should have explained this

Finances agreed before and transfer of assets to go ahead at the same time to avoid capital gains.

I feel your pain Dawn, I have been obsessively checking my phone for the past 3 weeks as the financial hearing should have been held by now and I've heard nothing.

Your STBXH is making the most of his last bit of control indeed - mine did exactly the same.
Hang in there, it will happen Flowers

Thank you!
Wondering whether to email solicitor, don't want to look like I'm harassing though!

Definitely ask for an update and plan of action if ex isn't complying with information.

Thank you all!
I've emailed asking what the current state of play is. Solicitor is by no means daft and will understand fully what it is I'm after so hopefully tomorrow I'll have a greater understanding.
Thank you for the support. Flowers

Got onto solicitor and asked if we were anywhere near resolving things. Funnily enough, we're not. Solicitor is waiting to hear from stbxh's solicitor. In other words, he's not filled anything in. Won't be moving anytime soon then.
