Having tried to find a lawyer on my own and failed (I'm not from this area) I thought I'd ask on here for recommendations from you.
I have children and don't want to have an antagonistic lawyer who will stoke the flames but I need a very experienced and tough lawyer who can protect me and my interests as I know my ex husband to be will contest the divorce and try to throw me under the bus.
(I had anxiety and took mess for a few months about a year ago.)
He has been emotionally, physically and mentally abusive, coaxing me to end my life and saying he'd leave the gun cabinet open so i can pick "one" and "get on with it".
I have fallen in love with another man and he has threatened to harm him and I am very worried.
I can barely afford a £450,- bill for the initial consultation that I was quoted by a lawyer in London. Please can you suggest suitable firms?
