What do you do if one partner doesn't want to get divorced?

A friend wants to divorce her husband for unreasonable behaviour. Her husband has said he doesn't want to get divorced. She has already seen a solicitor and will get letter sent serving notice. What can she do if he ignores the letter? Does she have to wait for 2 years if he doesn't agree to the divorce? They've been married for 10 years. Thanks.

No, she just issues. Unreasonable behaviour is highly subjective, so if he tries to defend, he's extremely unlikely to succeed. As any lawyer will tell him. Before asking for at least 3 grand for taking on his hopeless case....
