Please can someone help me fill out my divorce petition?

I'm confused by part 6, statement of case. (I'm filing under unreasonable behaviour) The box is really small, and it says brief details but in the 'help' booklet it says give six examples. This is not going to fit in the box! What do it do??

Are you filling it out on the computer or by hand? Any way that you can make each example only a sentence or two?

I would rather do it on computer but only have forms, I'm on an iPad and can't see how or where to complete online?

My solicitor told me to give examples of unreasonable behaviour (in the last three months only) followed by how it made me feel and the date that it happened. For instance one example might be.....

I asked him if he would like to take the family out for lunch but he said he would rather eat at home and spend the afternoon reading the Sunday newspapers. His response upset me as I felt he should show more interest in spending time with his family. May 2015

If you can't fit it all in the box you can write it on a separate piece of paper provided that you attach it to the form. Good luck.

Put something like "see attached" in the box and put the grounds in as a separate document.

How important are dates? It's more continuous behaviour that caused distress etc. So I've got examples of unreasonable behaviour and the reasons why they are unreasonable. The only date I have is from when he moved out.

You can fill it online here save it on your desktop if you don't mange to fill it out and print in one go.

I'd try and be as accurate as possible in dates but I should think month and year of incidents would be fine

I only had two dated specific arguments that I cited the rest was general behaviour and date he left. I had 6 reasons altogether as that is what I had read was best

So I've managed to download the document but I still can't fit everything in the text box. Any ideas?? I can't make the box bigger, I've only got six reasons as asked...

In the text box put "See attached appeal grounds" and type them up as a separate document.

Don't limit yourself to six reasons if in fact there are more.

My partner divorced on the 2 year grounds, but added a Separate sheet of paper explaining they had to live under the same roof for 3 months until she bought him out the house so he could put a deposit on a new one for himself, had to explain it all so the judge understood they were living 'separately under the same roof' in order to grant 2 years. He just signed that piece of paper and attached it to the forms and it was accepted fine :)

I have just come on to ask about divorce and have read this thread - Very helpful!

I am going for the 2 years seperated option, which we have been - its also a very straight forward divorce (I hope) in that we have already been managing for 2 years with all arrangements - Will they make us go to mediation? And also if it's straight forward will there be any additional costs? I have looked and the advice I have read says it can cost £410 from beginning to end - That seems relatively cheap, has anybody experienced that?

Eatsleep - yes it can be that easy and that cheap! I helped my Dp as hes uselss with paperwork, was all amicable, they have 2 children but all finances agreed. Any joint assets were sold and split already.
no need for mediation he literally filed papers on 3rd november last year with local court and the £410, she returned within the 14 days. Then applied for Nisi in December and added the extra paperwork i spoke about above as they were under same roof for 3 months so he had to explain why to satisfy the judge that it was a 2 year split, then got letter a week later saying Nisi will be declared this month. Absolute cant then be applied for end of Feb (6 weeks and a day after) so start to end will have been £410 and 4 months total. As i said his was very straightforward unlike most so has been very easy to deal with.

typo - absolute CAN be applied for, not cant!!
