Hi, I am so confused starting a DIY divorce. Basically there is a £410 court fee, which I am not sure if I have to pay. I have read EX160a (do I have to pay), but I do not understand. I do not have any savings etc, however the 2nd part is about incoming money. I only get about £6000 a year self employed, but do they count working/child tax credit or maintenance payment my ex pays towards the children? Also they only seem to mention Universal Credit, however this is not in my area yet, only child/working tax credits. How do I know if entitled, do I send application at same time as divorce form (D8), with payment or without.
Think I am being really stupid, but I am struggling so much, and just dont understand what to do. Any help from anyone who knows or who is going through this would be really appreciated.

When I first split up with my exh I bought the Which? Guide to Divorce. It was excellent and I'd recommend it. Even if you have to go down the solicitor route it explains the basics really well so you can actually understand the process and terminology before you take advice.

Good luck!
