If a father doesn't return his child or children at the arranged time, and he doesn't have a legal parental responsibility form, is my only choice to go for a Child Arrangements Order? I rang the police but they said it's a civil matter, and that they wouldn't get involved - I did point out that he doesn't have LPR, but they didn't seem to care.
I don't want to put too many details up here, as my dc's know I'm a mner, and I think they could well have told XP this in the past.

has he returned them now?

if so, you may have to just keep keeping records then go for a child arrangements order. Unfortunately all these things are a waiting game.

good luck.

No, they haven't come back yet. I consulted a solicitor today who's sent a letter asking that they be returned or we'll apply for an Urgent Child Arrangements Order. I think it's going to end up going to a full-blown hearing, as he's arrogant enough to think he can ignore the law because he's persuaded the dc's they want to live there.
