My word against his- BUT HE'S LYING!!! :-(

Hi everyone
Having a bad time in the court system. My ex was taking our children following our separation but wasn't looking after them properly- drinking heavily on nights when children unwell and requiring his care etc.
He denies all these things though and so far, it looks like he may get joint residency, which is what he is seeking. Feel totally powerless as noone seems to be listening to me- the children's mother. It seems to be all about him and what he wants. Not about what's best for the children at all!
Help!!!

Do you have any proof of this behaviour? Were the children aware?

Nope! No proof! And the children were in bed. On one occasion when my little girl (2) was in her bed in his house, I found out by finally getting through to him on the phone that he was highly drunk. Came over, took her home. He had been fully aware that she was unwell and would definitely need attention in the night. He was very very drunk. He just denies this ever happened. That's what he's like- unfortunately for me!
Now he's playing the court system like a pro to get overnight contact again :-(
