Leaving my husband...practical advice needed pls!

I am going to leave my husband. Our marriage is over...has been for years really. I haven't told him yet. I know he will be as awkward and horrible as he possibly can be so I need to get organised in a practical way re finances and housing first. I wondered if any of you have been through it...what advice you'd give. We are renting so it make things more simple. We have two kids. I don't work (yet!). Any advice would be very gratefully received.

I would get copies of all bank statments etc- I would if possible get some savings together. and I would look at how you would rent some where else as if he is being akward then getting him to move out would be a struggle. Or do you have relatives you could stay with for a bit? I think someone recommend a which book about divorce -guide to divorce? which was well worth reading
