How long did your child take to get used to a pump?

Hi all, my DS4 is starting on Minimed 780G next week. I’m really excited but nervous about him adjusting to wearing it 24/7. I’ve put it in his nylon belt to practice wearing it today but he’s already saying he wants to take it off.

For those with T1 children, how long did it take for them to get used to wearing pumps (esp with tubing)?

My DS is on omnipod, so not quite the same as it's not tubed. Maybe not neededing injections will be enough to convince him once you start on the pump. Are you on the Diabetic Kids Mums UK (for mums with T1 kids) Facebook group? You'll find a lot more support and comments there. Good luck with it anyway
