Looking for advice....feet!

Hi, hoping someone can advise me. I'm T1 diabetic and have a sore area on the ball of my foot - it really feels as if there's a splinter in there, as it is just in a tiny area and it's a sharp, needle-like pain on a certain pressure point and when you run a finger over it.

Here's the thing, DH has spent about half an hour peering and poking with his head torch on, but neither of us can see anything amiss at all. I've tried soaking the foot to see if that yields anything, but no.

I'm unsure what, if anything, I should do. I have had an issue in the past with a non-healing sore on that foot, but it turned out to be linked to critical limb ischemia and was followed by a leg bypass, so I guess I'm just a little overcautious with the foot now.

Any suggestions welcome.

See a podiatrist so they can check nerves.

Can you call the diabetes team at your hospital and ask them which podiatrists they recommend ?
