Anyone’s teen go 6 monthly instead of 3 monthly? Our clinic have started this recently.

Nope. 3 monthly here. I know at 16 they go onto the adult list though which is 6 monthly maybe they are preparing him for that?

Ours was always 3 monthly until 18yrs, but all paeds were in same clinic, then young adults (19yrs onwards) is 3-6 monthly as the adult service im guessing is so much busier.

Child only 13.

I don’t know how I feel about it only being 6 monthly. I was sure 3 monthly was standard and we don’t exactly love going to clinic so haven’t pushed and can definitely call them any time something it’s just strange when everyone else I know seems to be 3 monthly.

wait till they get to adults, my last checkup was August 2024 and next is April 2026

I get that and it’s unfortunate but I have honestly never heard of anything other than three monthly clinic visits for kids. So it’s more about our own clinic being different for whatever rrssson.
