Alternatives to Dapagliflozin (Forxiga) and can compare notes on side effects?

I don’t have diabetes of any kind but I wasn’t sure where else to post this. I’ve been put on Dapagliflozin to help with kidney function. I only have one kidney. It’s a SGLT2 inhibitor and takes glucose out of your blood so lowers blood glucose levels and therefore makes your urine more sugary. Most of the guidance on side effects is aimed at patients with type 2 diabetes.

The most common side effects are more frequent urination, urinary tract infections and thrush. I’ve been on it for 10 days and frequent urination was pretty immediate, including getting up twice at night (used to be only once), I’ve been on antibiotics for suspected UTI after just one week and I just feel like I need to pee all the time.

I can’t find any alternatives online that don’t have the same side effects. Just be good to hear if the side effects settle down or if I should go back to GP and say I need to stop and can the find an alternative. Thanks
