Breakfast is soya greek style yogurt with blueberries/strawberries and a scoop of either purition protein powder or milled flax seed. Lunch is usually home made (butternut squash and chilli today), or I try to make enough at dinner the night before and take leftover in for something warm. Dinner is usually veg chilli/veg curry with cauliflower rice; salmon with vegetables; roasted veg traybake sort of thing. Snacks are something like olives and walnut halves with cubes of cheese but I do try not to snack much as it can spiral.

I've been following a lower carb diet since last year when my hba1c suddenly went through the roof. I feel better and my last test was 43 so my diabetic nurse was very happy.

A colleague is diabetic and their nurse recommended the freshwell app. I've got some good recipes from there. https://lowcarbfreshwell.com/

I’m doing fast 800, hence the name.

I don’t have breakfast.

Lunch - Caesar salad, greek yoghurt with berries and mixed seeds, chicken breast and microwave veg, hot smoked salmon fillet and post mixed green veg packet.

Dinner - Greek salad with lamb kofta, steak with grilled mushrooms and tomatoes, shepherd pie (I had extra veg on the side and no mash), roast dinner with no potato/yorkshires, fish and veg, prawn stir fry with sesame seeds.

There are probably more exciting things but I’m trying to make things similar to the rest of the family and deal with fussy kids and veggie DH.

Take a look at the books by Kate Caldesi. Great ideas for each meal and snacks
