Hospital appointment - slightly confused

I've got an appointment for the diabetic nurse in March (moved because of the strike). It was postponed from last summer because of staff shortages.

Yesterday, I got a letter to say that I have an appointment this coming Wednesday for Endo/gen and I am not sure what that is about. I know that Endo is endocrine medicine team but surely Insulin is dealt with by the diabetic team?

I rang the hospital, but they said it was to do with the diabetes clinic. I didn't have an appointment before last summer's postponed visit.

Anyone any idea? I don't want to be asking silly questions when I go in.

Thanks

I’d assume you were to be seen by the consultant in a diabetes clinic op. Diabetes falls under endocrinology, so an endocrinologist deals with diabetes as part of their speciality.

Thanks. I wasn't sure. It just seemed odd that I am going to be seen by 2 different teams dealing with the same thing.

Oh well, we'll know come Wednesday.
