I did it! Hba1c down to 37 from 68 in 3 months!

Hi all,

Just wanted to come and share my good news. I've managed to reduce my Hba1c to 37 (from 68) in 3 months thanks to the advice of Dr Jason Fung, Dr Sten Ekberg, Dr Michael Mosley and the Glucose Goddess (and lost 2.5 stone doing so).

It can be done! (Just got to stick to this way of eating for the rest of my life now).

Can I ask what your favourite meals are? I was 42 prediabetic and now 27 and been following Glucose Goddess but I want more balanced meals in my diet.

@MistyTrains I eat a lot of salad with a protein, and a lot of thick Greek yoghurt and berries.

My best friend was just diagnosed as pre diabetic. I wanted to show her some support are there any books / websites though could recommend?

Dr Jason Fung, Mindy pelz, glucose goddess...but the long and short of it is to fast for long periods (black coffee and water only), eat veg and meat/eggs, some good quality Greek yoghurt and berries, a few nuts. Exercise as much as possible, do weights. And remember that hunger is your friend. I'm down about 3st in 20 weeks and I love to eat food but my tastes have genuinely changed and I don't like the taste of packaged foods any longer. Also, as Jason Fung says "hunger is your friend".
