Constantly low blood sugars in the heat

Hi all,

My dad is a 70 year old T1D for 30 plus years.
His Libre has been showing as low since yesterday and it won’t come up. I think this happened last year in the heat.
He can’t be full hypo as he’s walking/talking fine but we can’t seem to get his count up.
He’s had lots of jelly babies/fruit juice etc which would normally work but nothing is bringing it up.

It is normal/known for the heat to cause this?

Yes heat can affect blood sugar levels!

Have you tested with a finger prick to check it's not the Libre? My BG is low in hot weather, but seems strange to not be able to bring it up/he's not have hypo symptoms.

Mines low as well. I was diagnosed in april and went straight onto insulin and metaformin. I've reduced my insulin by 3 units a day but still on the low side.

Mine goes up. But off it won't go up after eating sweets. I agree with PP you need to check the monitor is functioning ok.
