Good diet plan or recipe book for pre diabetes

MIL has just been diagnosed with pre diabetes and feeling a bit fed up. She's a foodie and likes Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food, so it won't be hard for her to make some positive changes.

I just wondered if anyone could recommend a good cook book? Pinch of Nom comes up in Amazon searches but I don't know how good it is for pre diabetes.

Also, she doesn't really over indulge but is very sociable and likes a glass of wine. How much does this need to change?
Are there any top tips or pieces of advice I could pass on to her?
Thank you!

Michael Moseley has a blood sugar diet book. It explains the science and there are recipes.
If she likes med and Asian food she will probably like it.

Thank you! That looks perfect.

How old is you MIL?

Second this book. It is very helpful. I try and do 16:8 fasting for 16 hours eating sensibly for 8. Its been quiet easy having a very late breakfast working from home.

Michael Moseley's blood sugar diet is designed exactly for this and there is a companion cook book.

The other good one is the Anthony Worrall-Thompson low GI cook book (I can't remember the exact title). It focuses on cooking low glycemic index food and it is aimed at type two diabetes as he is type two himself.

@2022sucksalready MIL is 71.

Thank you for other comments. Much appreciated. I bought the diet and recipe book as a bundle. It looks really good. DH also interested as we had both forgotten his blood sugar was higher than ideal at his last medical.
I will definitely get the Anthony Woral Thompson book too, MIL will love that. Thanks @JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon

The Works have a lot of good diabetic recipe books hugely reduced at the moment. The fast 800 recipe book was £6 this morning
