Do you live in Scotland? Have you had gestational diabetes? Do you currently have it?

What’s the research study about?
We want to explore barriers and benefits of physical activity in women who have had a diagnosis of gestational diabetes, to develop a physical activity programme later on.

Who is eligible?
We are looking for women who have had a diagnosis of gestational diabetes within the past ten years. Pregnant and non-pregnant women with a previous gestational diabetes diagnosis are able to take part.
You do NOT have to exercise to be in the study! We want a wide range of opinions.

What will happen during the study?
We will hold focus groups that will be 90 minutes long and held in a location/time that is convenient for you. We will ask you about your views towards physical activity.

Are there any benefits to me?
Focus groups can be enjoyable! And you will be paid a £15 Love to Shop voucher for your participation as a thank you. We also will pay for childcare costs up to £20 if needed.

Who’s running the study?
Audrey Buelo, a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh, is running the study.

What if I want to take part?
Please email Audrey at [email protected] or call at 0131 651 1595.
