Does anyone have an automated pill dispenser( Pippa tipper or Pivotell) filled by the chemist ?

Or does everyone load it themselves.

As an ex-pharmacist: the multiple I used to work for would not fill anything other than disposable DDSs. We would not have considered filling one a patient or carer provided.

My friend had one before she went into care. It was affectionate named the UFO because it looked like one and made about as much noise when it went off. It was loaded by her home carers under her watchful eye and she was responsible for what went in.

My mother in law has hers filled and delivered weekly by a pharmacy.

Yep it was a flat, circular disk that had compartments in and then a round lid with a section that opened the size of one compartment. The carers could take off the lid and fill each compartment and then program a time that each compartment was available. At pill time, the lid would spin so the opening section was above the compartment with that time's pills, and the whole thing would buzz loudly, vibrate and flash!!
